About this role: Trava is passionate about developing new cyber security talent and exposing interested individuals to the wide range of possibilities in the field of cybersecurity.  You will gain experience across multiple cyber security domains and have opportunities to implement cyber security tools and contribute to projects to enhance Trava’s security posture.

Key skills include: Excellent verbal and written communications skills; foundational cybersecurity and risk management knowledge, basics of software engineering automation languages are a plus, empathy for customers’ Trava experience coupled with unwavering determination to assure the best customer experience possible, good organizational and project management skills

Reports to: Senior Security Engineer

What You’ll Do:

As a cyber security intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to developing Trava’s cyber security program. Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Implement security controls as directed by the Senior Security Engineer
• Assist with administration and implementation of security tools
• Research security tools to enhance Trava’s cyber security posture
• Run periodic security scans against Trava’s environment
• Assist with documentation of cyber security procedures
• Assist with security awareness training and phishing campaigns

What We’re Looking For:

• College student majoring in a cyber security field or related IT or Computer Science fields but some experience in cyber security
• Some basic knowledge of a scripting language (i.e. Python, Powershell) is a plus
