(Cyber) Security Risk Manager

Methods are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Risk Manager to provide services to the UK public sector. As a Senior Cyber Security Risk Manager, you will be responsible for managing the risks associated with cyber security, ensuring the protection of sensitive information and systems, and managing the impact of any security breaches.

Requirements

• Developing and implementing cyber security risk management strategies and frameworks.

• Conducting regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, threats and risks to the security of information systems and assets.

• Implementing security controls and measures to mitigate identified risks and ensure compliance with security standards and policies.

• Ensuring that all security incidents are reported and investigated promptly and effectively.

• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and other partners.

• Providing advice and guidance on cyber security issues to senior management and other staff.

• Developing and delivering cyber security training and awareness programs to staff.

• Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in cyber security and applying them to the public sector.

Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in cyber security risk management, preferably in the public sector.

• Knowledge of cyber security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.

• Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk management strategies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Security clearance eligibility (SC) is essential.
