Cyber Security Product Engineer

Within Citi, the Data Security team is focusing on strategy, engineering and delivery of core security products covering all of Citi’s enterprise environments.

In this role you will be responsible to provide engineering expertise and post deployment support for the domains technology stacks.

Cyber Security Product Engineer you will

• Work with enterprise file transfer services to facilitate data transfers through Citi’s perimeter in a controlled and encrypted manner.

• Lead stakeholders to design and implement architecture updates and upgrades.

• Identify technical solutions to migrate file transfer services from traditional on-prem to cloud hosted solutions.

• Work with cross domain groups to track and remediate technology stack component deployment and operation failures.

• Facilitate the management and tracking of product defects with internal partners and vendors.

• Track End of Life products across the team working with cross-disciplines to remediate.

• Organize the remediation of overdue issues tracked for management oversight.

• Work with all disciplines and product owners to integrate security solutions with existing Citi and future Citi computing environments.

• Ensure that all security products meet or exceed Citi internal and regulatory requirements.

• Produce documentation of processes and procedures for the usage of the tool set.

• Follow the Technology Development Life Cycle in the development of all security tools.

• Produce ongoing detailed metrics for management oversight,

Ideal background

• 6-8 years relevant experience in an information security operational or engineering role / security tech stack focused role.

• Enterprise understanding of secure file transport concepts and technologies.

• Optional awareness of Axway Secure Transport technology stacks.

• Good understanding of key based authentication.

• Good understanding of concepts surrounding data encryption.

• Knowledge of risk based technologies and their integration into enterprise ecosystems.

• Sound security engineering principles to serve as background to understanding the working of the systems and controls that are in place.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, JavaScript & Python)

• Proficiency in platform security concepts, granular understanding of platform mechanics and platform interoperability

• Fluent English knowledge

• University / College degree in any STEM area or equivalent industry/technology knowledge
