Cyber Security Architect Manager

CSA is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect Manager to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Norfolk, VA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and a passion for leading teams within DoD/Navy programs. This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive experience and judgment to independently plan and accomplish goals related to cybersecurity architecture
  • Lead and direct the work of a team, providing daily supervision and guidance.
  • Conduct risk analyses, including risk assessments, to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Define security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues and design and engineer solutions accordingly
  • Stay up-to-date with DoD and DoN Information Assurance rules and regulations and ensure compliance within the organization
  • Gather and organize technical information about an organization's mission goals, security products, and ongoing MLS programs
  • Provide technical support for secure software development and integration tasks, ensuring adherence to design concepts and industry standards
  • Analyze and recommend resolutions for security and Information Assurance (IA) problems based on knowledge of IA products, services, and disciplines
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Security/IA products such as PKI, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the field or a related area within DoD/Navy programs.
  • Minimum 3 years of managerial experience, including leading and directing the work of a team
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, practices, and procedures including DoD and DoN Information Assurance rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of Security/Information Assurance products such as PKI, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, with the ability to analyze and recommend solutions based on their limitations and capabilities
  • Proven track record of independently performing complex tasks and providing top-level contributions to projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective security strategies
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing team members
  • Familiarity with Multilevel Security (MLS) requirements and the ability to design and engineer solutions accordingly
  • Understanding of secure software development principles and integration processes
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • DoD Secret-Level Clearance
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting NAVSEA clients 
  • First-hand experience with Naval shipyard and/or Naval maintenance facilities
  • Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP-ISSAP), or Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP)
