Cloud Engineer II (2nd Shift)

Job Profile Summary As a Rackspace Cloud Engineer II, you’ll Implement cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture. Supports development and execution of cloud implementation strategy within organization's existing IT infrastructure. Work with stakeholders across organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions. Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY

• Experience automating and orchestrating workloads on Google or other Public Clouds.
• Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment.
• Experience working in an Agile, fast paced, DevOps environment.
• Knowledge (preferably experience) in building distributed, highly available applications or systems architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences. 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field desired (or equivalent work experience) and 2 - 3 years’ experience supporting customers Cloud Computing environments. Google Associate Cloud Engineer Certification within 90 days of starting role.

Desirables

• Google Associate Cloud Engineer Certification.
• Terraform Certification.
• Proficiency in Linux or MS OS.
• Experience working in a containerized environment (Docker/LXC) with Kubernetes exposure.  
• Experience working with Service Oriented or Microservices Architectures.

• Provide Fanatical customer support from onboarding through growth at Rackspace. In addition to providing customer support, will be responsible for helping build and/or modify processes necessary for excellent customer outcomes. Focused on scaling support for managed GCP and working closely with CRE team to develop solutions for customers.

Physical Demands

• Role can work remotely in the states of Ciudad de Mexico, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Estado de Mexico and Puebla.
• You need to be based in Mexico at one of these locations.
