Join us.Who we are looking for:The associate technical writer reviews and edits client-facing technical documentation created by Optiv consultants. They evaluate the tone, language, and consistency of written documentation, and review and revise the layout of documents, presentations, and other materials to match Optiv branding guidelines. Documents reviewed by the associate technical writer use the same guidelines as other technical writers on the team to ensure consistency and high quality are met.

How you'll make an impact:

    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience reviewing technical documentation related to networking, operating systems, software and cybersecurity
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word with advanced capabilities in document formatting, styles, and templates
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong grammar, spelling, editing, and proofreading abilities
    • Understanding and experience using the AP stylebook
    • Experience reviewing and revising content for consumption by executives, managers, and administrators
    • Ability to work independently, with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic
    • Work as a team player with strong interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to high-quality work
    • English or journalism degree
    • As time allows, create how-to videos for consultants to learn how to use templates, systems and processes

Qualifications for success:

    • Ability to develop document automaton in Microsoft Word such as style sheets, macros, quick parts and content controls
    • Video training experience using Camtasia to create tutorials for consultants
    • Knowledge about content management systems processes such as Microsoft Share Point
    • Previous technical background in networking, software or cybersecurity industry
