Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO)

AnaVation has a career opportunity for an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO). The position will be intricately involved with the company growth supporting all programs and personnel.  AnaVation desires to hire a motivated professional who sees AnaVation as a long-term career and personal growth opportunity.  This position requires an understanding of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, must be detail oriented, enjoy learning and taking on new responsibilities, have a strong work ethic, and always maintain professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience as an AFSO.
• US Citizen.
• Proven discretion when handling confidential information.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience maintaining personnel records and visit requests in DISS.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Secret security clearance required, TS preferred.
• Experience safeguarding classified information.
• Experience transmitting, transporting, and mailing classified information. 

Travel Requirements:The AFSO may need to attend classified events across the U.S. a few times a year to provide onsite support. Events are typically 5-7 days, 10-12 hours per day.The AFSO will need to work from our Chantilly office roughly 50% of the time.
