Job Description

    • Work with Quality & Risk Management Manager and Senior Manager to implement risk management priorities and initiatives across services
    • Possess an overall understanding quality and risk management processes, workflows, associated appropriate business processes and service level agreements
    • Operate the QRM triaging function for Optiv through request intake process, pre-readiness review, quality management review and risk management reviews of client artifacts prior to client submissions
    • Work with sales and delivery teams to evaluate engagement objectives and review risks inherent in the engagement
    • Seek constructive on-the-job feedback and obtain proactive coaching to identify and implement improvements in the quality & risk management function
    • Deliver effective reviews based on a thorough understanding of cyber security architectures and technology and ability to effectively apply it to client situations and environments
    • Understand Optiv and its service lines and actively assess what Optiv can deliver to serve clients with high quality and minimal risk to the organization
    • Coordinate and contribute to the development of learning materials, new and experienced hire QRM professionals onboarding requirements
    • Develop, present, and socialize recommendations for issue remediation and process improvements, capture feedback for evaluation
    • Document and improve the QRM audit, review and disciplinary processes to effectively track the success of implementation across Optiv’s services
    • Develop and operate the QRM dashboarding capabilities by defining cost of quality metrics and actively reporting to QRM leadership and Optiv leadership on performance


    • Bachelor's degree and related work experience in cybersecurity services
    • 4+ years working in a Quality & Risk Management role within a consulting organization and reviewing cybersecurity services for clients
    • Running a triaging function to review, escalate or pre-approve artifacts based on defined criteria for quality
    • Knowledge of general security concepts and methods such as vulnerability assessments, data classification, privacy assessments, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, architectures and governance
    • Must be able to work well with business leaders and self-manage through difficult situations, focus on client satisfaction
    • Ability to work both independently as well as on teams
    • Ability to lead and mentor others; willingness to collaborate and share knowledge with team members
    • Experienced at writing technical proposals, statements of work, white papers, presentations and project documentation ; strong attention to detail
