The Partnership team is mandated to become a source of competitive advantage in creating a sustainable, strong, and long-term alliance with partners across non-financial sectors to drive our business metrics! Its main objective is to collaborate with new partners and maintain relationships with existing partners and continuously seek business opportunities optimization to achieve mutual goals for both sides and improve business engagement ahead. This team will be the spearhead of the company, as a single point of contact to partners to smooth communication between parties. A partnership team is suitable for talents interested in opening up connections, improving their ability to manage partnerships, sharpening business acumen and honing negotiating skills.Most importantly, we are only looking for proactive and self-starters individuals to join our team! No job is too small or big for him/her, regardless if it is in or out of the job scope, we take each work assigned with pride and joy, all for creating value for Gojek! In return, we ensure that you are at the forefront of doing the most exciting partnerships in Gojek, some of which we have never done before! 

What Will You Do

    • Acquire strategic partners (B2B), including prioritizing partners, strategic and product assessment, and negotiation
    • Maintain relationships with existing partners and continuously seek new business opportunities and leads 
    • Guide partners to achieve mutual goals and improve business engagement - there will be sales achievement KPIs involved 
    • Monitor the overall engagement establishment and project, oversee the progress, and project timeline management, and budgets ownership 
    • Responsible for end-to-end administrative duties alongside other inter-departments such as the legal team, finance team, and government relations team to draft and finalize the commercial deal 
    • Be the first hand to handle issues related to the partnership and escalate the problem to the proper parties (internal and external) to be solved
    • Lead, own and mentor a team of 2-5 alongside their leads and sales targets for GoCorp - Gojeks’ Vietnam transportation expenses solution for businesses

What Will You Need

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in partnership development or business development in companies such as start-ups, technology companies, management consulting, banking, or Fortune 500 companies
    • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Draws sound conclusions based on analysis and experience. Able to identify breakthrough solutions during tough negotiations or large-scale implementations with strategic partners.
    • Communications Skills: Promotes an environment of open communication. Convinces and engages others by using compelling arguments. Able to rigorously manage a portfolio of projects with strategic partners, unblock issues & risks and manage expectations to ensure they are completed within target timelines and stakeholder expectations.
    • B2B Negotiation Skills: A fair, unbiased mediator and uses diplomacy and tact to diffuse tense situations comfortably
    • Resiliency: Demonstrates resilience & composure, even in difficult or adverse circumstances. Makes and carries through unpopular or difficult decisions that are in the team's best interest. Is able to resist the pressure to make quick decisions where due consideration is required.
    • Stakeholder Management: Ability to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Persuades and influences effectively by building support for ideas and initiatives through the effective presentation of facts and evidence. Identifies and anticipates that the partner and stakeholder need to gain their commitment. Owns the end-to-end relationship with the equivalent team and functional leads both internally and externally.
    • Financials: Good understanding of P&L and business acumen, as the role is required to develop, manage, and execute business agreements
    • Abilities to navigate and execute in a highly ambiguous environment
    • Local candidates are a must
About the Team The partnership team covers domestic institutions partners. We are the single point of contact to partners. We are also responsible for orchestrating various divisions including product, legal, compliance, finance, commercial, and other related internal roles to handle projects with partners.
