CalOES is looking for a California Cybersecurity Integration Center Commander!
Cal OES is looking for an experienced cybersecurity professional to join the Cal-CSIC. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with a cybersecurity background from law enforcement, military, or federal intelligence. The successful candidate must be able to serve in a leadership role and advise executives at the highest level of California State Government during cyber incidents that could damage California’s economy and must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a minimum SECRET clearance through TOP SECRET with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility. The incumbent must be able to obtain a Department of Homeland Security Secret Security clearance within nine months of appointment, possess and retain a valid Driver’s License, be willing to travel throughout the state if needed, and be on call to assist with emergencies of all types. This well-versed professional will oversee the development and implementation of a statewide cyber security strategy, oversee the Cyber Operations (Incident Response), Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Mission Support Branches. The Commander will collaborate and advise leadership from multiple agencies including but not limited too; local, state, federal government and the private sector on cybersecurity matters. Additional experience in the private sector serving as a contractor or consultant to major agencies/companies on cybersecurity prevention or infrastructure security is preferred but not required.
