Riverside Research is seeking a full time Senior System Cybersecurity Engineer to support AFLCMC/HN at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA.

Job Duties:

  • Provide focused cybersecurity engineering and compliance support to AFLCMC/HN
  • Conducts risk assessments and provides recommendations for technical design to project development teams
  • Ensure cybersecurity policy and technical practices are implemented correctly on the project
  • Assists with the understanding of the cyber security requirements, processes and schedule impacts to include Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts
  • Provide recommendations for alternative approaches while maintaining system cybersecurity requirements
  • Ensure that all system and application deliverables meet the requirements of all DoD and Air Force Cybersecurity policies as identified in the following paragraphs.
  • At the initiation of the period of performance and throughout the period of performance of the contract, the Candidate shall ensure that, as a minimum, 100% of the total labor provided to deliver cybersecurity services are certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M standards.  (CDRL A001).
  • The Candidate will support all system deliverables that comply with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policy, specifically DoDI 8500.01, Cybersecurity, and AFI 17-130, Air Force Cybersecurity Program Management.  
  • To ensure that cybersecurity policy is implemented correctly on systems, Candidates shall ensure compliance with DoD and Air Force Certification and Accreditation policies, specifically Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology, and AFI 17-101, The Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Air Force Information Technology.
  • The Candidate shall support activities and meet the requirements of DoDI 8520.02, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Public Key (PK) Enabling, in order to achieve standardized, PKI supported capabilities for biometrics, digital signatures, encryption, identification and authentication.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in related field
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Able to apply extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Work is performed with light supervision. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Top Secret Security Clearance / SCI Eligibility
  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g. Ethical Hacker, CISSP)
  • Proven cybersecurity engineering experience working with modern software and hardware environments, to include controls and standards for FPGA/Firmware applications
  • Previous Experience providing Cybersecurity Engineering in the design and requirements phase of system acquisition/fielding
  • DoD or Government experience with an understanding of cybersecurity engineering, especially with the design of newly fielded systems
  • Knowledge of emerging DOD approaches on software acquisition, streamlined cyber compliance and DevSecOps principles
  • Experience with (or Knowledge of) secure supply chain practices
