Meet the Team: 

Join our growing Cyber Security team under our new CISO leadership. This team is responsible for developing a strategic security and risk management program, implementing security policies and procedures, and managing security technologies. As Torc continues to pave the way for the commercialization of autonomous trucking, this team will be instrumental in ensuring the security and trustworthiness of our systems.

The Cybersecurity Operations Engineer will be leading our cybersecurity operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of security operations, and the ability to manage and enhance our organization's cybersecurity posture. The Cybersecurity Operations Engineer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day security operations, incident response, threat detection, and ensuring the overall resilience of our information systems.

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage the external managed security operations center (MSOC) by providing oversight, defining SLAs, measuring performance, and ensuring the
  • Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including monitoring security alerts, incidents, and response activities.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into business processes.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for cybersecurity operations.
  • Generate regular reports on the state of cybersecurity operations, incident response effectiveness, and ongoing improvements.
  • Develop and maintain an effective incident response plan, ensuring timely and efficient response to security incidents.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, document findings, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Responsible for tracking, measuring and transparent communication.
  • Responsible for defining the assurance case for product release.
  • Implement and manage security tools and technologies for continuous threat detection and monitoring.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, adjusting security measures accordingly.

What you’ll need to Succeed: 

  • Demonstrates competencies and skills typically achieved through the completion of a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, and threat detection.
  • Strong leadership and vendor management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience working with technical teams and leading others thru detailed processes and results driven strategies.
  • Strategic thinker with creativity and strong problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail to identify problems and processes that don’t comply with protocol.
  • Strong business insight and judgment, team orientation and collaborative style.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to plan, develop, coordinate resources, prioritize effectively, and maintain competing demands simultaneously with frequent interruptions and in a fast-paced environment.

Hiring Range for Job Opening US Pay Range$145,900—$175,100 USD
