Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Mid-Atlantic region (Remote)

GuidePoint Security is seeking an experienced and driven security professional to join our Cloud Security practice in the Mid-Atlantic.

Summary 

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be part of a growing team of highly skilled cyber security engineers providing delivery services for customers in several verticals.  Your primary responsibilities revolve around partnering with our customers to advise, develop, implement, and run CNAPP Cloud Security tools. You will constantly learn about and utilize the newest cloud security technologies, such as CNAPP, IaC, CSPM, and CWPP technologies.Role and Responsibilities:

• Integrate security technologies and best practices into everything built from infrastructure and automation to Containers and Serverless functions• Implement IaC scanning tools within the CI/CD Pipelines• Perform implementation of CNAPP and CSPM tools in multi-account AWS and Azure environments• Develop Infrastructure as code in Cloud Formation or Terraform• Advise customers on Cloud security best practices

Experience, Education, and Technical Requirements.

• At least 3 years of experience working in Cloud Security with Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP• Experience with Cloud Security tools like: Wiz.io, Orca, Lacework, Trivy, or Prisma Cloud• Experience with the integration of tools into development pipelines such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc• Understanding of a broad range of Cloud Security issues as well as their mitigation strategies• Understanding of Cloud Security-related vulnerabilities• Experience developing code in Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Rego, and other languages• Written communication skills for written interactions with clients• Strong communication skills that include the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and refine complex problems into digestible pieces of information• Ability to manage time independently while handling multiple projects concurrently• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Security preferred• Cloud Security certifications are preferred
