Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Security Operations Engineer II in Aliso Viejo, CA to develop and implement customized security tools, respond to alerts, and perform operational tasks for Sony platforms. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience developing tools and automation to streamline security operations and procedures. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience performing implementation and management of security devices and applications to supervise and monitor network, servers, databases, and applications; designing and supporting security technologies including Web Application Firewall (WAF), Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP), Intrusion Prevention Systems, Network or Cloud Firewalls, security policy management and authentication; utilizing telemetry, log data, and monitoring tools to troubleshoot common issues related to network, host and cloud security technologies; applying knowledge of Firewall, policy administration, network routing, and lower-level languages such as C, C++, and Java; utilizing scripting languages including Python to conduct root cause analysis and determine the cause of data loss or outages; using SQL/NoSQL to perform risk assessments, execute tests of data processing systems, and ensure functioning of security measures. At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
