Responsibilities
- Developing a small to medium complex security project, process, or initiatives such as Automation, Penetration testing, Vulnerability assessment, Vulnerability management, and similar endeavors.
- Participating in the automation of tailored solutions for the advancement of the Poshmark Application Security Program
- Conduct thorough penetration testing on the applications and infrastructure utilized within the organization to ensure effective security assessment.
- Triage security issues reported by bug bounty platforms
- Develop standards and guidelines for specific product security areas
- Develop or modify security reporting capabilities
- Work with cross functional teams to develop remediation suggestions.
Minimum Qualifications
- BTech Computer Science/IT with coding experience
- Preferred: Specialization in Cybersecurity/Network/Infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Passionate about technology and security
- Good understanding of different security concepts and models in area of product, Infra, network and other security related areas
- Strong coding and automation skills using Python, Java etc.
- Well versed with data structures, algorithms and related computer science concepts
- A curious nature with a desire to tackle and solve complex problems
- Non-academic coding experience - Experience with Ethical hacking, participated in public bug bounty programs like BugCrowd/HackerOne or others
- Developing or contributing to open source security projects. Example - OWASP projects
Soft Skills
- Analytical thinking and problem solving attitude
- Detail oriented and expert in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a passion for delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders
- Experience creating presentations in MS PowerPoint or a similar tool
- Strong business acumen with aptitude to apply it critically towards solving problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills
6- Month Accomplishments
- Possessing in-depth knowledge of penetration testing concepts and hands-on experience with the applications and infrastructure within the organization.
- Creating a comprehensive solution and minimizing manual effort by automating the encountered challenge.
- Documenting the complete solution into a confluence page
12+ Month Accomplishments
- Proficient in independently managing projects.
- Engaging in collaborative efforts to efficiently identify solutions through teamwork with cross-functional teams.
