Security Engineer, Technology and Delivery

About the Department
Information Security at Cloudflare is a focused team committed to helping secure both Cloudflare and our customers. The Infrastructure Security team works closely with groups across the Cloudflare organization, ensuring that best practices for security and risk management are embedded in project and process life cycles
What you'll do
You can think both tactically in dealing with security incidents and strategically in anticipating future threats against our infrastructure.
- Conduct security reviews of core infrastructure.
- Work with engineering teams to architect highly performant, secure automated development systems and tools.
- Work with the Network and Engineering teams to maintain a consistent, secure architecture.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- Deep understanding of network architecture and security.
- Strong understanding of attacks and threat landscape.
- Experience with cloud services and applications (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with containerized environments.
- Automation experience using scripting languages (python, go).
- Ability to work in unstructured environments, strong sense of urgency, ownership and self drive.
- Ability to build partnerships and get results.
- Previous production or software engineering a plus.
