They will assist with documenting the scope, schedule, budget, and prioritization of individual projects to support security initiatives and ongoing programs. They will assist with monitoring 8x8 assets and conducting security testing.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.REQUIREMENTS:Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problemsTwo or more years’ work experience as a Security Analyst, Security Engineer, or related positionIn-depth knowledge of security protocols and principlesProven experience developing, operating and maintaining security systemsProficient knowledge of network, operating system, and database securityExperience with network security and network monitoring solutionsExperience with vulnerability management solutionsKnowledge of security systems including anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems, and intrusion detection systemsADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge & Experience with Information Security Standards (e.g. NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001)Experience in an incident response roleExperience performing security testingExperience with programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python*Base Pay Range:*The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock.
