Job Summary:

The SecurityArchitect will be a technical leader and subject matter expert for security of the Reltio Platform, working alongside technical and product leaders, and reporting to our CISO. This candidate will be integral to the Security Champions program supporting secure design and implementation in collaboration with our product and engineering leads. This will include security architecture, planning, process improvement, and modernization activities, as well as contributing to the Reltio Roadmap. S/he will drive development of security requirements for new initiatives and support customer enhancement requests. S/he will drive continued improvement in the policies and guardrails implemented throughout the Secure Development Lifecycle processes and tooling.

Responsibilities:

  • Is a technical expert and key stakeholder in architecture and design for the security, resiliency, optimization, and compliance of internal and customer facing services.
  • Develops strong working relationships with relevant leaders, supporting the translation of business needs/requirements into security strategy and roadmaps, and ensuring technology investments build security value for our customers.
  • Assess and drive improvement for the Secure Development Lifecycle and associated tooling including static analysis, software composition analysis, and dynamic analysis testing.
  • Evaluate current state against defined industry benchmarks and best practices. Define target states and collaboratively develop a plan to holistically achieve them.
  • Establish, socialize, promote, and coach security design principles, development standards, and best practice guidelines for Engineering teams.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and ability to develop impactful relationships with engineering teams and cross-functional partners.
  • Present to customer’s technical teams the security features and capabilities of the Reltio platform and develop security stories and requirements for enhancement requests.
  • Own the lifecycle of customer technical assessments; bringing improvements to product and engineering teams for risk-based prioritization.
  • Creates, designs, and builds modern enterprise grade solutions and ensures they adhere to the company’s standards.
  • Provide security requirements into product and technology planning activities.
  • Develop and document security systems architecture and data flow views.
  • Define and drive technology Proof of Concepts (PoCs) as needed to drive improved security.
  • Research, evaluate, and deploy new security tools.
  • Keep current with advances in cloud security tooling and automation methodologies.
  • Stay on the cutting edge of emerging technology and processes, forging key relationships with peers.
  • Ability to translate and provide sound advice to senior management regarding the impact of emerging security threats and trends.
  • Listens and effectively communicates with clarity, precision, and transparency.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience, at least 5 as the Security Architect for a SaaS product.

  • Has a passion for improving quality processes through shift-left, automation, and tools to enable increased efficiency and the highest product quality.
  • A self-starter who likes taking on challenges and being a leader with engineering solutions. Motivated, autonomous, and responsible with a history of shaping and establishing technical vision and architecture within successful companies.
  • Superior communications skills and the ability to communicate clearly with peers, customers, and Leadership. Educates and collaborates well and likes to work toward a risk appropriate consensus within each team.
  • Knowledge and expertise in essential web technologies including Java Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, C#, UI frameworks (e.g., Backbone.js, Vue.js, React, Angular), microservices architectures, cloud technologies, serverless implementations, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with some combination of the top 3 IaaS vendors’ (AWS, GCP, and Azure) offerings and working in their environments.
  • Experience with securing container ecosystems and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Experience with Jenkins, or other continuous integration software.
  • Experience with operationalizing static analysis, software composition analysis, and dynamic analysis testing tools in the development pipeline.
