Job Summary:

To join the S/4Hana Cloud practice within Sapphire in the UK. The hands-on role will involve a variety of technical consulting tasks centered around S/4 Hana Cloud and the Business Technology Platform (BTP). Delivering work packages for our customers in the SME space. Initially for the UK market, but as a global organization this could also include customers further afield. The work typically covers SAP S/4 Cloud Administration (Provisioning, User administration and security) and both ABAP Development and CPI Integration inside S/4 & SAP’s BTP suite. You should be able to communicate effectively to Senior IT stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experienced multiple SAP S/4 or ECC project lifecycles in a development role. Through projects or self-learning some exposure to BTP or SaaS administration. You will have or be willing to obtain relevant certification (Sapphire funded).

The pace of change in the S/4 & BTP space is huge. You would be part of a technology team charged with keeping abreast of it. You would have to be a self-starter and would be rewarded with lots of new, interesting and exciting challenges.

Requirements

Technical Skills/Experience:

Essential:

• A minimum of 2 project SAP ERP lifecycles, in a technical delivery role
• ABAP and 1 other programming language
• Web Services experience (SOAP, REST, ODATA, XML & JSON)
• Keen to learn S/4 Cloud technologies & ways of working
• Experience of integration/API tools (e.g. SAP PI/PO, CPI, BOOMI, MuleSoft)
• Knowledge of EDI standards, IDOCs, File formats (e.g. CSV) and sFTP.

Nice to Have:

• SAP BTP (Business technology platform or other cloud foundry based product)
• Groovy or JavaScript.
• Exposure to core NetWeaver Basis functions.
• Fiori & CDS related development

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work on client projects to provide SAP consultancy at a technical level.
• Travel to client sites as and when needed in UK.
• Some opportunity to work remotely depending on client requirements.
• Provide input into pre-sales opportunities as and when needed.
• Possibility of international travel on occasional basis.
• Proactively align knowledge and skills to the SAP roadmap in the areas of SaaS administration and development, adopting a cloud mindset of continuous innovation.
