About the Role A great opportunity awaits our Consumer Risk Lead who will take the wheel in identifying potential risk breaches and developing risk mitigation strategies in our fast-expanding business. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Risk, you’ll act as the stream's key analyst within the Trust & Anti-scam domains, monitoring risk metrics and rules and developing a holistic approach in implementing risk management strategies. You’ll cultivate an effective risk culture within the organization, influencing functional stakeholders to implement other broad risk control strategies within their domains. Your efforts will directly bolster the continuous improvement of our platform integrity aimed at further amplifying users’ trust and perception of Gojek, ensuring a safe platform our users can count on and love to come back to.
What You Will Do
- Act as they key fraud analyst and thought partner amongst business teams for the assigned product line, conducting deep dives and analyses on risk related issues
- Closely monitor risk metrics, underlying drivers, and overall business metrics
- Assess, validate, and optimize risk rules to ensure the best outcome of risk/reward, and to meet stipulated risk target metrics
- Develop risk platform solutions that will balance the various product line requirements while maintaining a holistic view of the customer experience
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of related payment risk experience, preferably within the acquisition or e-wallets domains
- Ability to assess issues and recommend solutions both at the strategic and tactical levels, balancing the business vision and practical implementation considerations
- Intermediate proficiency in GSuite and other data skills (i.e. SQL, BigQuery)
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills in order to effectively build trust-based relationships with a wide range of stakeholders while maintaining an objective outlook
- Strong understanding of risk solutions and product implementation

Our team consists of multinational and multi-background individuals, working together to anticipate and predict potential threats to our platform, design and build tools to fight against and mitigate these threats, and implement and enforce these systems at scale. We partner closely with several cross-functional teams to ensure safe and secure transactions for our users, our Gojek businesses, and our extended ecosystem. Our team is constantly working on projects that continuously bolster our platform, maintain Gojek’s overall integrity, and improve the resilience of our ecosystem across all the countries and regions we operate in.
