Position SummaryThe Offensive Security, Solutions Lead, provides strategic direction for Coalfire's marketing and solutions development activities. The ideal candidate has strong domain expertise in penetration testing and offensive security. This role is crucial in driving the growth of Coalfire's offensive security business by increasing brand awareness and supporting marketing activities. The ideal candidate must demonstrate thought leadership, gauge market acceptance, evaluate engagement performance, and assess the impact on the sales pipeline. This individual will work closely with VP-level practice owners, technical SMEs, Sales leaders, and other marketing team members to effectively manage timelines and produce and train Sales on high-value marketing deliverables. This individual will lead and coordinate solution development initiatives within the practice to ensure alignment with Coalfire's internal stakeholder requirements, customer demands, and business objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop comprehensive strategies to increase awareness of Coalfire's pen test/offensive security professional services among target customers.
  • Develop competitive analysis to identify the strengths/weaknesses to position Offensive Security offering portfolio and software-enabled solutions and identify differentiation points.
  • Continuously stay updated on offensive security/penetration testing industry trends, competitors, and best practices to ensure Coalfire's marketing efforts remain relevant and practical.
  • Create and/or develop ideas for engaging content (e.g., blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, infographics, videos) highlighting Coalfire's offensive security/penetration testing expertise and capabilities.
  • Manage and mentor team members in the development of thought leadership content.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to develop collateral, presentations, proposals, and brochures.
  • Partner with training and program development teams to educate Sales on essential materials that fuel pipeline generation and meeting activity.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to present and network with potential clients.
  • Oversee and drive the development of solutions from ideation to launch for the OffSec practice, including vision development, strategy, and planning.
  • Manage and support researchers and domain experts to ensure solution alignment with internal stakeholder requirements, customer demands, and business objectives.
  • Engage in technical research to evaluate 3rd party solutions and provide hands-on development when needed.

What You"ll Bring

  • 7+ years of domain expertise in the Offensive Security / Pen Testing space.
  • 2+ years of developing and/or managing solution development/research and development (R&D) programs.
  • 3+ years hands on development of cyber security technical solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting B2B marketing campaigns with a focus on promoting professional services or technology solutions (2 years must be related to offensive security and/or penetration testing-related professional services).
  • Demonstrated success in driving results through data-driven marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Proven track record creating awareness and developing business with senior IT/cyber executives (e.g., CISOs, IT Directors, Director of Security Operations, Vulnerability Managers, Offensive Security Managers, and Red Team Directors).
  • Results-oriented in solutions marketing, content development, top-of-funnel (TOF), and demand generation.
  • Proven background in penetration testing/offensive security, with a strong understanding of the industry landscape, key challenges, and customer needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and present complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security, information technology, or a related field.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with marketing reporting systems such as Pardot or Terminus (formerly Bright funnel) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in successfully navigating the patent acquisition process, including patent research, application, and registration, is strongly preferred.
  • Marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role is $104,000 to $179,000 based on national salary averages. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certifications and other factors. You may also be eligible to participate in annual incentive, commission, and/or recognition programs.
