SUMMARY

Our Managed Infrastructure Engineering team provides network expertise to our customers through in the areas of design, implementation, deployment, configuration, support, management, and troubleshooting relating to NextGen Security Platforms. This team runs our EDR services and firewall services and provides support to onboarding efforts, Vulnerability Intelligence, and our Active Defense offering. Team members are specialized in enterprise level firewall and/or EDR products and work to expand their knowledge base across other products.

REsponsibilities

• Provide design, implementation, deployment, configuration, as well as support, management, and troubleshooting relating to NextGen Security Platforms (Palo Alto and Fortigate Firewall) in our customers’ environments
• Work with senior staff to evaluate client security devices and make recommendations based on industry standards for security configurations.
• Answer questions and make recommendations based on industry standards and best practices.
• Ensure security, availability, and confidentiality of all sensitive data collected, processed, or stored by this position

Assist and/or provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) services, engaging directly with clients to perform necessary research, provide technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives.

• Participate in engineering team on-call rotation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution and vendor specific certifications such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet
• 3-5+ Network security administration/engineering and tools experience
• Proven ability to research unknown terms and concepts to quickly source solutions to properly apply/use emerging technology and to solve newly encountered problems
• intermediate Unix or Linux systems administration and command-line experience (Redhat/Linux, FreeBSD, etc.).

Experience in the configuration and troubleshooting of IPSec VPN tunnels.

Knowledge with network analysis tools, such as, Wireshark and TCPDump and SCP.

Hands-on experience installing, configuring and administering network and security devices, applications and systems

General understanding of SIEM operations highly preferred with ArcSight, Splunk, Elastic experience as a strong plus

Managed Services experience preferred with a customer focused mindset that is willing to go above and beyond to satisfy a customer requirement absolutely required

Effective time task management skills; Strong communications skills, both written and oral

• Ability to participate in on-call rotation for weekend
  • IDS/IPS (Cisco FirePower, Palo Alto, Fortigate, Checkpoint, Juniper)

At least 3-5+ years’ experience configuring and/or using the following:

o Security Management Systems (i.e. Tipping Point SMS, CheckPoint Security Management Server, Cisco FirePower, or JunosSpace)

o Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Juniper SRX, or IPTables)
