We are looking for an experienced and driven Localization Specialist to join our R&D team. The Localization Specialist will be responsible for all technical aspects of software localization processes. They will work closely with Technical Writers, Translation Teams, Software Development and QA Teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Getting localization materials and adapting them to meet local requirements
  • Linguistic and functional testing of Acronis products
  • Optimization and automation of existing l10n processes
  • Support Developers/Translators on various localization/internationalization aspects specific to Japanese market
  • Fixing i18n/l10n issues
  • Software analysis and review for i18n/l10n readiness
  • Ensuring the consistency of overall Japanese localization

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in localization/translation industry
  • Japanese native speaker, proficiency in other languages
  • Intermediate English (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with Japanese localization standard and guidelines
  • Understanding of Japanese software ecosystem
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of Python, C/C++, C#, Java is a plus
  • Knowledge of scripts (Perl, RegEx, etc)
  • Knowledge of shell scripts (Bash/Cygwin)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN, etc)
  • Knowledge of bug tracking tools (JIRA)
  • Advance knowledge of HTML/XML formats is a plus
  • Knowledge of CAT tools (SDL, Trados, memoQ) is a plus
  • Ability to read/analyze source code
  • Self-motivated, project oriented, attention to details
