Information Security Technical Senior Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Information Security Technical Senior Analyst for its Irving, Texas location.

Duties: Monitor, analyze and respond to cyber fraud threats. Monitor, research, assess and analyze Digital Fraud attacks leveraging various Security Event Monitoring platforms including Web Threat Detection, Real Time Fraud Risk Assessment, Big Data and Digital application monitoring tools including ArcSight, Splunk, SAS, Teradata and enterprise real time fraud detection tools. Perform SQL queries to analyze historical transactional data to detect suspicious fraud patterns and mitigate future fraudulent activities. Perform cyber security operations or incident response. Follow pre-defined actions to handle BAU and high severity issues including escalating to other support groups. Troubleshoot to help isolate technical issues with the integration of fraud monitoring technologies including Splunk, Akamai, Shape, ArcSight and Silvertail. Identify areas for tuning use cases to enhance monitoring value. Conduct early detection, prevention and mitigation of detected fraudulent activities. Perform security event monitoring using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools including events from Intrusion Detection Systems, Web threat detection tools, Big Data and Security Analytics tools and Application fraud monitoring tools. Develop fraud detection strategies for new fraud patterns utilizing Big Data analytics and Machine Learning techniques. Perform incident response via initial risk assessment, monitoring real time data on a contiDevenued basis, and investigating internal and external sources to access and analyze alerts to find or rule out potential fraud. Create and maintain operational reports for measuring key performance indicators (KPI’s) metrics. Perform initial risk assessment on new threats and vulnerabilities, perform assessment phase of Vulnerability & Threat Management process. Monitor security logs feeding into monitoring channels and set escalation paths. Use network security tools to protect systems from cyber threats including malware and phishing attempts. Use Data Warehousing and Mining and Visual Programming to analyze and identify anomalous patterns thus detecting intrusions, network and system scanning and denial of service attack. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 4 years of experience as an Information Security Intermediate Analyst, Financial Analyst or related position involving securities and operations within the financial services industry. 4 years of experience must include: Big Data Analytics, Machine learning techniques; and SQL, Data Warehousing and Mining, Visual Programming. 1 year of experience must include: SAS, Teradata; Intrusion Detection, Web threat detection, Security Analytics tools and Application fraud monitoring Tools; Splunk, ArcSight, Silvertail, Akamai, Shape; and Network Security.
