Front-end Engineer, Security Review Tooling team

Help us protect all Amazon customers, from Amazon Fresh to Fulfillment Centers. We are looking for a security-focused front-end engineer who wants to make a difference to ensure that protecting customer data is at the forefront of all development.You will work on a team of talented developers and security engineers that builds a system used by all Amazon builders for security reviews. This system is a collection of tools that provide intuitive user interfaces to help builders navigate security review work, including what they need to do, when, and how. This system integrates with various automation to reduce the manual work builders and security reviewers need to do, and these integrations need to be reflected and natural way in the user interfaces you will help define and lead implementation of.Key job responsibilities

• review and create mocks of user interfaces and interact with internal customer focus groups and customer-experience bar raisers for feedback
• work with SDE teammates to design optimal interactions between front-end clients and backend services, and influencing technology choices
• implement user experiences with modern frameworks (React, etc)
• participate in code reviews of other front-end engineers, and the team's system design reviews
• mentor other engineers

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
• 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
