Field CISO - AMER
The Field CISO is responsible for executive relationship building with customer CISOs, customer security executives, and other similar roles in customer organizations. This role will focus on evangelizing the value of Cohesity solutions and how they help the customer secure and manage their data more effectively. You will primarily focus on the top accounts and prospects across the Cohesity portfolio. Day-to-day activities range from pitching the vision and value of Cohesity to speaking at security events to acting as a PR and media resource.
In collaboration with many cross-functional teams, the Field CISO will help promote and strategize with Product Management, Engineering, and other various technical overlay teams to help with feature and product ideation. Cross-functional collaboration between Product Teams, Engineering, and Marketing will be key in helping Cohesity define, hone, and perfect the evolving story of how Cohesity helps customers ensure the security of their data-of-last-resort.
The Field CISO position will be part of a global organization but cover a large section of territory, but focused on top-tier accounts in their respective Geo. As permitted, travel to these customer sites will be required. You will also collaborate with similar roles across the globe to form unified messaging and unified collaboration.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
- Ability to discuss Key Security Topics Confidently and Relate them to Business Impact
- Knowledgeable on Key Security Certifications/Frameworks
- Summarize Key Security Areas and give examples
- Provide common strategies to handle these challenges
- Evaluate strategies - technical outcome and business impact
- Explain key security offerings in the enterprise and how Cohesity’s offerings support, augment, integrate, and enhance the security posture of the enterprise.
- Deep understanding of Business Value Selling and how our solution portfolios affect Risk, Cost, and Value.
- Excellent presentation skills from CxO to mid-level executives at large customers, key strategic partners, and other industry experts
- Representing Cohesity at industry events, in media interviews, authoring/contributing to thought leadership articles, briefing advisories.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, the Office of the CISO, and Technical Sales organizations.
- Shape broad-level messaging as it relates to securing enterprise data and applications
- Evangelize the benefits of securing next-generation data management solutions
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLoWING EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in CS or a technology-related field is required.
- Professional security management certification
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT jobs
- Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST.
- Excellent written, verbal, and communications skills
- Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
- Highly Desirable:
- Experience with Cloud Platform and Infrastructure as a Service
- Experience building, deploying, or managing SaaS environments at scale
- Working knowledge of Data Protection, Scale-Out Filesystems, and Distributed Computing environments
- Working knowledge of Data Governance Models and Data Classification
- Previous experience speaking publicly, and publishing thought leadership articles
- A strong network within the Information Security industry
