About the Role

As a Cybersecurity Operations Advisor, you will work with a growing team to support the security operations of a large Federal department. You will be providing timely and effective security responses to identified incidents and ensuring compliance with mandated security standards.

What You Will Do

As Cybersecurity Operations Advisor, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Recording and resolving IT security problems to support the organisations security posture
• Monitoring and escalating calls/tickets to ensure resolution to agreed SLAs
• Developing and maintaining security documentation and procedures
• Asset administration for security related software, hardware, and certificates
• Management of the external PKI System
• Work with the SOC on Vulnerability Management reporting and mitigating strategists across different technology streams
• Report on vulnerability scans and resolution progress of all vulnerabilities
• Governance across operational teams for vulnerability remediation
• Work alongside the project teams to identify improvements and develop reporting, to show compliance, or effective outcomes
• Assist with security architecture reviews for solutions within the scope of the program including the collection of high-level security requirements, assessment of current-state security architecture and proposing target-state security architecture
• Provide analysis and judgement on complex issues and make significant contribution to the management, preparation, and coordination of Program deliverables
• Engaging collaboratively with internal and external parties

What You Will Bring

As Cybersecurity Operations Advisor, you will have a good understanding of the ISM and PSPF, knowledge of the Essential 8 and the technologies used to deliver to various levels of maturity. You will bring Cyber Security experience, ideally from within a managed service provider, and you will possess a strong understanding of ICT security policy in government and have a background in large and complex projects. You will be passionate about Cyber Security and driven to making a customer’s environment safe and secure. You will be a quick learner, self-driven and have exceptional communication and analytical skills. You are a team player, who is dedicated to both self-improvement and improvement of the wider Datacom community.
