Cybersecurity Assessment Services Lead

We have an opening for a full-time, permanent Cybersecurity Assessment Services Lead to join our talented, dynamic team in support of a large Federal Government customer.

The Cybersecurity Assessment Services Lead will manage teams responsible for performing web and mobile application security assessments, penetration testing, and red teaming support for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role also includes leading the creation, modification, and enhancements of vulnerability assessment applications and tools to bolster the security posture of the organization.

Duties

• Lead and oversee teams in executing web and mobile application security assessments, penetration testing, and red team assessments.

• Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to meet project objectives.

• Oversee the development and modification of custom-built web applications, tools, and vulnerability assessment applications.

• Direct the production of assessment reports in various formats, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, PDF, or other formats as directed.

• Ensure that all reports adhere to the prescribed format and are of high quality.

• Maintain effective communication with VA Government personnel, development teams, and other stakeholders.

• Utilize management and reporting tools to provide real-time status of progress and adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Coordinate the development of periodic status reports to identify project related updates like accomplishments, risks, and issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Cybersecurity, Information Technology, etc.) or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of proven experience in coordinating cybersecurity assessments, penetration testing, and/or red team exercises

• Relevant certifications such as CISM and PMP are a plus

• Knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework and experience with Assessment and Authorization A&A practices in the federal government is preferred

• Project management skills and experience and an understanding of agile project management frameworks in support of application development efforts

• Excellent communication and report-writing skills

• Experience with enterprise ticketing systems like ServiceNow

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
