We’re looking for a Cyber Security Engineering Intern who isn’t intimidated by the prospect of working with large, messy data sets. You’ll play a critical role in defining how data can be utilized to help our policyholders identify and manage their risk. In this role you’ll work collaboratively with data scientists, software engineers, product managers and underwriters to build unique insights into our customers' experience. 

Logistics: 

This is a full time (40 hours/week) summer internship that will last approximately 12 weeks, depending on when classes resume. The ideal start date will be May 30, 2023, but is flexible. Our interns must be located in or near Boston, as they will be required to come into the office, especially during the training period. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support Corvus’ data acquisition and enrichment efforts, including but not limited to identifying vulnerabilities and collecting and analyzing open source intelligence
  • Collaborate with the Threat Intelligence team to track the external threat landscape and build dynamic underwriting and pricing tools
  • Mentor peers on the technology team about security trends and topics
  • Clearly communicate analysis and train stakeholders to use our security data products

What you’ll bring to the flock: 

  • Working towards a bachelors degree in Cybersecurity or related field
  • Understanding of network protocols and concepts
  • Knowledge of current security trends, threats, and mitigations
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience and comfort working with basic data analysis concepts 
  • Experience with the AWS stack or other cloud computing technologies a plus
  • You collaborate well with others and are dedicated to the company's success
