Cyber Security Architect

You will experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a high‐energy environment to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of BHG’s systems and data.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate the security architecture, design, and configuration of the organization’s existing systems, applications, and networks to determine adequacy and propose specific improvements.
  • Define and maintain security requirements for new projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Review project proposals and participate in cross-functional team discussions about technology initiatives to provide guidance and ensure that BHG’s policies and security requirements are being met.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, CASB, encryption, automation, network sensors, and other detective or protective measures in a hybrid infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, services, and configurations to enhance BHG’s security posture.
  • Work with compliance and technical teams to remediate deficiencies such as those found during assessments, audits, or examinations.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for all projects and procedures and the organization’s security architecture.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, information security, or a related discipline; or equivalent qualifications or work experience; plus two (2) years of experience as a cyber security architect or similar role within a complex IT environment.
  • One (1) or more cyber security certifications including, but not limited to, CASP+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GSEC, or GDSA.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, databases, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in security assessment tools and techniques.
  • Ability to take a complex problem to identify potential security risks.
  • Experience with security standards and frameworks such as FFIEC, NIST, PCI-DSS, or CIS controls.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and protection, e.g. CCPA, GDPR.
  • Understanding of and practical experience with the design, implementation, and integration of security technologies such as endpoint security, vulnerability management, network segmentation, security
  • automation, SIEM, MFA, IAM, PAM, MDM, PKI, CSPM, SSPM, API management, NAC, authentication and authorization, encryption, DLP, and firewalls.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
