Cyber Systems Support

Currently, Avint is seeking a motivated, career and team-oriented Cyber Systems Support at our Reston, VA office.

The role involves designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining cybersecurity systems, with a strong focus on understanding cyber application principles, behavior, and administration. Responsibilities include mitigating risks by preventing unauthorized access, identifying potential incidents, enabling fast responses, deterring criminal behavior, and capturing crucial evidence in the event of a breach. The candidate will serve as the Point of Contact for cybersecurity systems, analyzing complex issues and providing innovative solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cyber security systems. This includes having strong knowledge of cyber application principles, application behavior, administration, mitigating risk by preventing unauthorized access, identifying potential incidents, allowing fast responses, deterring criminal behavior, and capturing crucial evidence in the event a breach occurs.
  • Serve as Point of Contact in the design, deployment, configuring, and maintaining of cybersecurity systems. This will also include analyzing complex issues and providing innovative solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • College degree in related field
  • 3-10 years of experience
  • Skills to create and update system documentation such as system architecture diagrams, installation guides, and standard operating procedures, in addition to maintaining an organized working environment.
  • Analytical experience identifying vulnerabilities and potential risks within the system(s).  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to the platform they are supporting.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret relevant logs and error messages effectively and communicate issues to the Government Task Lead (GTL). 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate and interact with other IT teams, understand business requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively to deploy updates and patches efficiently, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to interact closely with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to developers, architects, and system administrators to ensure seamless integration and compliance with federal government requirements.
  • Document, recommend and author necessary documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Disaster Recovery Plans, control objectives, system standards, guidelines, procedures and user related materials regarding programs or tasks.
  • A relevant Microsoft security technology certification (e.g., Microsoft 365 Security Administrator)
