Cloud Engineer II

Job Summary: You will be part of a team designing, automating, and deploying services on behalf of our customers to AWS in a way that allows these services to automatically heal themselves if things go south. We have deep experience applying DevOps techniques in virtually every industry. Every week is different and the problems you will be challenged to solve are constantly evolving. We know and understand DevOps. We build solutions using infrastructure-as-code so our customers can refine and reuse these processes again and again - all without having to come back to us for additional deployments.  Work Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with customers engineering teams on a wide variety of projects.
• Write infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Implement automation/DevOps best practices for CI/CD, IaC, Containerization, etc.
• Linux/Windows administration, automated deployments, scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python).

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience of programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language 
• Solid understanding of the overall AWS Cloud infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFormation etc.).
• Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform or other tools. 
• Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, CodeDeploy and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications and provisioning infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
• Hand-on experience with configuration management such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Salt.
• You are comfortable interacting with customers and have the ability to communicate as well as educate. 
• (Prefer) Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElasticSearch and Kibana.
• (Prefer)  Experience implementing and designing cloud native security concepts, DevSecOps, or MLOps.
• (Prefer)  Experience with data at scale, MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, Mongo.
• (Prefer) Knowledgeable about HIPAA, PCI and other security frameworks and standards.
• (Prefer) AWS Certifications.
• (Prefer) Proficient in networking and network security.
